In a surprising collaboration that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Revealed

According to the official release, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The plot presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine group.

The adventure centers on "bizarre tests and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to multiple objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also features a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
