Thousands Experiencing Electricity in South-East Queensland and Victoria Following Powerful Weather Systems
Around 25,000 residences in Queensland's southeast were left experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events passed over the region, generating strong winds hitting over 100 km/h.
Substantial Frozen Precipitation and Broad Impact
Residents observed giant hailstones reaching sizes of 7 centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology verified that various areas across Queensland had been hit with large hailstones.

Rescue organizations responded to 598 calls for help across the region, primarily for property damage but also for fallen timber and inundation.

Health officials warned that there was an greater possibility of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the current weather patterns.
